printf(“Hello, World”);
I know, I know it’s a cliche title. But since this was our very first program in the dreaded C programming class, it feels fitting!
I’m really excited to finally get this blog off the ground. It gives me a platform to ramble, share experiments, and document what I’m learning along the way. Since I’ve already put a lot of “about me” content on my About page, I won’t repeat that here. Instead, let’s talk a little about what this site is made of and what you can expect from it.
This site is built using Hugo, an open-source static site generator, and the PaperMod theme. Without Hugo, I probably would have delayed setting this up for another year. I considered using Astro, which Cloudflare is pushing a lot lately, but Hugo felt much easier to learn and customize. Though I’m sure revising CSS will come in handy if you go this route.
What you’ll find here
My posts will mostly revolve around:
Tinkering in my homelab
SDR projects (coming soon!)
Anything tech-related, including tools, languages, and books
My thoughts on certifications and study resources
General musings and lessons from projects I’m working on
I also have a backlog of notes and documentation in Notion that I originally planned to post elsewhere, so you might see posts with older dates as I migrate them here.
Why this blog matters to me
This year has been full of ups and downs, which meant some of my projects stalled or got delayed. Having this blog is a way to get back on track. It’s both a personal log, a motivator and a reminder to keep experimenting, learning, and sharing.
I’m also in the middle of working toward a few more fundamental certifications. By the time these changes go live, I’ll hopefully have more to share, from lessons learned to resources I found useful.
Thanks for stopping by.
